Did you know you can make leather earrings even without an electronic cutting machine like a Cricut or Silhouette? It’s really easy! I sell heavy duty templates (here in my etsy shop) you receive in the mail or you can make your own shapes by printing or tracing onto heavy cardstock. In addition to templates here’s what you’ll need:
- Leather Pieces – I find a lot of great leather at thrift stores. Old coats and purses come in great colors and textures!
- Scissors – Good, sharp sewing scissors are a must for cutting smooth edges (these Fiskars* are my fave).
- Jewelry making tools and findings – Simple pliers are needed to attach rings to the leather and earwires.
The video below explains everything you need to know from start to finish! In no time you’ll be making leather earrings too!
